A New Global Player.
The F 850 GS Adventure is prepared for any terrain on your next journey all while being in the greatest possible comfort. This is ensured by the large, height-adjustable touring windscreen, standard comfort rider's seat and the large 23-litre front tank. For a relaxed ride through wild terrain, your F 850 GS Adventure comes with durable accessories: in addition to the engine protection bars in series or the practical stainless steel luggage rack in preparation for the aluminium top case, the side trim panel is also very robust.
Discover the Ride
The F 850 GS Adventure wants to get out into the world: the powerful, newly developed parallel twin engine with 70 kW (95 hp) satisfies your thirst for new adventures. The new engine concept impresses with powerful sound, stronger performance with 70 kW (95 hp) at 8,250 rpm and smooth performance - with a moderate consumption of 4.1 l per 100 km (according to WMTC). With a torque of 92 Nm at 6,250 rpm, this Enduro has enough power for any off-road challenge, no matter the journey taken.
Improved riding modes "Rain" and "Road" as standard.
In "Rain" mode, soft throttle response is achieved, ABS control is set for road operation and ASC is configured for low friction road operation. In "Road" mode, the throttle response is very spontaneous, the ABS is designed for road operation and the ASC for high friction coefficients. Both modes have been further optimised compared to the predecessor model.
ASC as a standard feature.
The standard traction control ASC (Automatic Stability Control) also increases safety. Depending on the road conditions and the current road situation, it limits the drive torque of the engine, thereby significantly increasing active safety in tricky situations. Of course, the system can be switched off for off-road use.
Improved rideability with self-boosting anti-hopping clutch as a standard feature.
The new self-boosting anti-hopping clutch reduces engine drag torque and adds significant riding safety - especially in braking manoeuvres associated with simultaneous downshifting. In addition, the adjustable, mechanically actuated clutch lever requires considerably less effort to operate.
Ergonomically designed for the Rider
The ergonomic qualities of the F 850 GS Adventure invite you to take really long tours around the globe. The standard seat height of 875 mm is ideal for extended tours. But not for you? The choice is yours: The wide range of different rider's seats / heights allows can be perfectly adapted to the rider's size. After all, the machine should adapt to you - and not vice versa. Also included as standard features are the adjustable shift, clutch and brake levers as well as enduro footrests and the high, tapered aluminium handlebar. Especially for larger riders, this is a clear advantage when it comes to off-road riding.
Ride on and on with a Large 23 Litre Tank
Wherever you long to go – the F 850 GS Adventure gets you there. Because its large 23 litre tank ensures enormous ranges of over 500 kilometres. This enables distances that others can only dream of. But its outstanding comfort also makes for a bike that is simply a joy to ride on. This includes improved wind and weather protection thanks to a larger and height-adjustable touring windscreen and an ergonomically designed comfort seat, meaning even the longest tours never become a torture. And to make sure that nothing is missing when you're traveling across the world, the F 850 GS Adventure also offers sophisticated storage concepts as special accessories, such as a sturdy aluminium luggage system.
Superior. On any terrain.
Anyone who ventures into uncharted territory again and again needs a bike they can trust in any situation. Whether it's deserts or mountains, river valleys or plateaus, this travel Enduro shows its superiority across the board. Even ex works, it has that which makes it predestined for long-distance and off-road use: the frame in shell construction with its increased rigidity ensures greater ride stability and improved accuracy. The front suspension is regulated by the upside-down suspension fork, and by the WAD suspension strut at the rear (progressive damping). The F 850 GS Adventure offers a 230 mm range on the front and 215 mm on the rear suspension - for intense riding pleasure on any terrain. In addition to deactivatable ABS, two standard "Rain" and "Road" riding modes are available at the touch of a button. With the Pro riding mode, there are also the standard riding modes "Dynamic" and "Enduro". They provide the appropriate setup for appropriate riding situations and the respective surface. This turns ABS into ABS Pro and ASC into DTC (Dynamic Traction Control). The F 850 GS Adventure also shows its superiority on off-road terrain thanks to the larger 21-inch front tyre, the cross-spoked wheel for tubeless tyres, enduro footrests, the engine protection bar, its underride protection and practical hand-protector bars.
Dynamic ESA as an optional accessory
Dynamic ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment) automatically adjusts the damping action of the suspension strut based on the driving conditions.
Riding modes Pro with "Dynamic" and "Enduro" (optional accessory)
With the Riding modes Pro, the throttle and control systems of the machine can be easily adapted to different road situations. In addition to the standard "Rain" and "Road" riding modes, the riding modes "Dynamic" and "Enduro" are also available, and the standard ABS and ASC then change to ABS Pro and DTC with the Pro riding modes. "Enduro" mode is characterised by the soft throttle response. In addition, the control characteristics of the ABS Pro and the Dynamic Traction Control DTC are designed for light off-road use with road tyres. As a dedicated off-road rider, you also have the "Enduro Pro" mode (activation via coding plug), which offers optimal throttle response to go hand in hand with a regulation of ABS and DTC attuned to the operation with off-road tyres. In addition, the rear wheel ABS is deactivated in this mode, allowing you to perform more braking drifts.
Connectivity incl. 6.5" TFT colour display (optional accessory)
Connectivity offers innovative functions for navigating, calling and listening to music on your motorcycle on a 6.5-inch TFT display.
On-board computer Pro
The On-board computer Pro provides perfect information management at a glance. Programmed for displaying the most important vehicle data quickly and easily.
Large storage space (optional accessory)
Those who go on trips around the world rarely do so travelling light. That's why the F 850 GS Adventure (standard) features a stainless steel luggage rack for the aluminium top case (special accessories) and a stainless steel case holder for aluminium cases. Practical accessories such as aluminium case and topcase in the rugged GS Adventure design, a passenger seat pocket and a tank bag with map compartment, as well as the large space under the seat, complete the range of storage options.
